Welcome to the Powermax Alarms website. This website is owned and operated by Sapphire Alarms, 16 Juddfield Street, St Helens, WA11 0BB. By accessing this website you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Using this website indicates that you accept these terms regardless of whether or not you choose to order from us. If you do not accept these terms, do not use or access this website. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should always look through them when accessing this website.

Ordering from us

To be eligible to purchase items on this website you must:

When you have finished placing your order, you are taken to a page on the website that displays your order reference number. You are advised to keep this number for your records. You will receive an email when your payment has been authorised, which will also give you details of all the items you have ordered, although at this point your order has not been accepted.

Our acceptance of an order and the completion of the contract between you and us takes place when we despatch the order, even if your payment has been processed immediately. We will send you a despatch confirmation by e-mail the time and date of despatch will be specified.

We may refuse to accept an order;

Sapphire Alarms reserves the right in its discretion to decline to accept any order and/or to supply Products to any individual or company. If we decline to accept or cancel an order for which we have received payment, we shall refund the payment, but shall have no further liabilities.

We have taken great care to ensure that the items on our website are presented as accurately as possible. However colour clarity will depend on your own personal monitor and we therefore cannot guarantee that the colour of the actual Item will absolutely match what you view on the website.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to endure that the goods ordered are compatible with your requirements.  Where possible we will attempt to identify incompatibility issues and inform to of such.

Sapphire Alarms accepts the following methods of payment: Cheque drawn on a Uk bank in Pounds Sterling, Payments using the following credit/debit cards; Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, and Maestros. We do not accept American Expres, Diners Club, PayPal, Cash, Travellers Cheques, Stamps or any other means of payment not in the list of ones we accept above.

Sapphire Alarms only accepts payments in Pounds Sterling.

Pricing and Delivery

All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates. Prices are exclusive of postage and packaging.

We will normally deliver your order within 1-3 working days, but is not guaranteed. Our delivery charges are based upon the weight of the products and are shown when goods are added to the basket.

Our prices are reviewed periodically.

Please ensure you place your order with enough lead-time to prevent any loss or disappointment resulting from the delivery time, as we cannot be responsible for this.

We will deliver products ordered by you to the delivery address you have given us.

By accepting these terms, you agree irrevocably to appoint the courier or postal service to be your agent for taking delivery of the products on your behalf, and delivery to the courier or postal service shall be deemed to be delivery to you.

Your home address with which you register for the website must match the billing address of any payment card you use. Where the addresses do not match, payments will fail.

The courier or postal sevice will require a signature on delivery. If no one is present at the delivery address to sign for the goods, the courier will hold the goods at their premises and await collection from there by you.

Cancellation and Returns Policy

We hope that you are satisfied with your order, however if you are not satisfied with your goods we will happily offer you an exchange or full refund. You will only be able to exercise the right to an exchange or refund if the item(s) are unused, undamaged and with all the original parts (e.g. screws, brackets), manuals and literature, and in all the original packaging.

We operate our Refunds Policy in accordance with the United Kingdom Distance Selling Regulations (DSR), which in essence state.

Private (i.e. non-business) customers can cancel an order within 7 days of receipt of the goods, and will receive a full refund, including (where applicaqble) the cost of returning the goods.

Important: If you wish to cancel your order before you have received the goods but after they have been despatched by us, we strongly advise you to refuse delivery of the goods. This will save you the inconvenience of returning the goods, will ensure that the goods are as supplied, and save on postage costs.

The order cancellation must be in writing (e-mail is aceptable) and must state the relevant order Number and date of purchase or receipt of goods.

Upon receipt of the written order cancellation we will advise you on how to return the goods. The returned goods must be returned as originally supplied, in original packing and complete with all fixings, manuals etc. such that the goods are suitable for re-sale.

We reserve the right to adjust the refunded amount to account for goods which have been used, or are not complete as supplied.

If your payment has been processed by the time you cancel your order, we will refund the full amount back onto the card that was used to pay.

To return items that have been delivered please contact us by e-mailing us with your name and details of what you are returning and then send it back to us within 14 days of receiving your order, with a completed returns form as provided with each item ordered. It is also helpful to include the original delivery note, if you have it. Once the item has arrived and is in the satisfactory condition, we will then process the exchange or refund and inform you.

We can only issue exchanges or refunds on items that arrive back with us within 14 days of delivery.

For your protection and insurance it is recommended when sending an item(s) you use a ‘signed for’ delivery service, such as Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery. We are not liable for any packages lost in the post.

Any item(s) returned which do not comply with the above procedures will be sent back at your cost and will not be accepted for a refund until the conditions have been met.

All items must be returned to our internet trading address.

It is your responsibility to arrange for the goods you are returning to be sent to us, by courier or otherwise, and it is done at your cost.

A full refund specifies the price you paid for the goods you are returning (not necessarily the current or recommended retail price). You will not be refunded for any delivery charges you paid for the goods you ordered.

Funds will only be refunded onto the credit/debit card that was originally used to pay for the goods that are being returned.

Faulty Returns If you beleive your goods to have a manufacturing fault, or they arrived damaged or partly missing, please contact us by email as soon as possible. Please quote your OrderRef from your delivery note if possible. NB:  Batteries, consumables,  and donloaded products are not covered by guarantee and are not returnable as faulty.

Each case of faulty/damaged/missing goods will be handled on an individual basis.

By our agreeing for you to send the goods back to us, we are not accepting the return as faulty, we are simply acknowledging your wish to return the goods.

If we decide to accept the goods as faulty, we will give a full refund including the original carriage charge, or offer to replace the item(s).

If there is a dispute over whether or not item(s) being returned are faulty, we will send the item(s) to the manufacturer for testing and base our final decision on their advice.

Missing or damaged items in your delivery must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
